Here is an effect that is as useful as it is impressive for any audience: the tear-apart change bag. This prop allows you to perform countless routines and is ideal for shows with any type of audience. With this bag, you can transform a silk into a dove, restore torn newspaper pages or four pieces of rope, perform color changes, or make an object vanish in a shower of confetti.
To make the bag quicker, safer, and more precise to use, the top hem on all three sides (the outer front side, the outer back side, and the center divider) contains flexible plastic strips sewn inside. These strips serve a key purpose:
- they help the opening keep its shape,
- they allow the magician to instantly find the correct edge,
- they make the compartment opening cleaner and more controlled,
- they prevent the fabric from collapsing or folding over.
