A ball point pen penetrates just about anything - dollar bills, pieces of paper, etc.
Take a ball point pen and borrow a dollar bill. Let a spectator sign the bill with the pen. Take the pen and the bill and suddenly you stab the pen through the dollar and people can see BOTH sides as you rotate the bill for them... the pen has clearly torn right through the dollar. You rip the pen through the bill and in an instant the dollar bill is completely healed from punctures. Both can be fully examined immediately and people can find NOTHING.
